New Zealand is a small country, with a population of just over five million people.
Similar in size to Great Britain or Japan, it has 29 regions in two main islands that stretch across 1,600 kilometres offering diverse landscapes, climates, and culture. No matter where your interests lie there is much to see, do and explore!
Known as Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland sprawls over volcanic hills and around twin harbours, offering an exhilarating mix of natural wonders, urban adventures and vibrant entertainment areas.
City Rail Link
Auckland's City Rail Link opens to passengers on 13 September 2026 — one of the largest transport projects in New Zealand's history. The convention centre sits less than a five-minute walk from Te Waihorotiu Station, one of the line's brand-new underground stations, making it easy for delegates to arrive by train on this exciting new addition to the city.
