Jason Miles

Kia ora, ko Jason Miles tōku ingua.

Ngau mai, haere mai - a very warm welcome to all principals and school leaders from around the world and from within Aotearoa. We are excited to be welcoming you all to our beautiful country! We look froward to you joining us in September to share our work, opportunities and beautiful environment with you all.

I am proud to live and work in Aotearoa New Zealand, I have been a primary school principal since 1996.  My leadership career spans four schools, in Canterbury, ranging in size from 50 - 550 students. I currently head up Te Kura o Ruataniwha - Kaiapoi North School in North Canterbury.

It has been an honour to represent my colleagues, through the New Zealand Principals’ Federation (NZPF) National Executive, since 2018. I am so proud to be now serving as NZPF President in 2026 after serving as Vice President for 2022 - 2025. 

My conference organising experience includes being on the committee for three NZPF conferences - I will be using all this experience to support hosting the 2026 ICP Convention in our country’s largest city of Tamaki Makaurau, Auckland.
